So sorry to hear of Bro. McGarvey's passing. He was definitely a prince of a man. Wish we were able to bring mom to honor him. He will always have a special place in her and our hearts. Praying that all the wonderful memories you have of this great man will bring comfort to you during this time. Don and Sharon Hyrkas; Dorothy Parks Snider.
ReplyDeleteI was deeply saddened to hear of your fathers passing. He was a very special man and I will miss him dearly. We send our condolences to your entire family.
ReplyDeleteBro. & Sis. Arturo Gonzalez.
Bro. McGarvey, a modern day Barnabas. May God's peace be with Sis. McGarvey, the children, grandchildren, the local church family, and Section 11, which Bro. McGarvey so loved. I was blessed to hear him preach at the sectional meeting, September 16th. May his legacy be carried on. God's blessings upon the McGarvey family, you have much to be proud of. Praying for you. Bro. Michael Miller
ReplyDeleteMy love and prayers are with you all in this sad time.
ReplyDeleteI will miss my dear friend and mentor. His constant encouragement brought me through a very dark place as we talked nearly every week over the last 2 years. God Bless the McGarvey family.

Over the years Bro. McGarvey has poured so much into my life. What a model of encouragement and faith. He really has changed the world in the many lives he has touched. His influence will go on. What a beautiful legacy you have. May the Lord give your family a special comfort at this time. Until we meet "in that happy land of promise!"

ReplyDeleteWe are very sorry, our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
I remember as a young girl Bro. McGarvey teaching in the old building that burned at Irvington in Houston. My dad (Don Rasmussen) still talks about what a great Man and awesome teacher he was. He will be greatly missed.
