The Lodge

Shortly after Grammie moved into the house on Woody, we started calling it the "Lodge." Possibly it was a take on the heavy beams in the kitchen/living room or because there always seems to be folks camped out in one room or another. It's rare that you stop by on a Sunday and don't find a group hovering around the kitchen table. There may be an itinerant preacher surfing the web in the library or a group of kids munching popcorn downstairs. All to the tune of piano lessons in the family room!
Suzi & I are very grateful for the last four months we spent there. Having our own space, a place to store some gear in the basement and a spot to hang the boats meant an awful lot to us. We often get some pitying looks when we say we've moved back in with our parents, but the house is set up for easy, shared living... plus, we all get along just grand. Sure there's some adjusting that one has to do as housemates, but I doubt there's nicer people that I'd want to share a spot with...

Thanks for opening up the Lodge to all of us, Mom & Dad!

Scott
